Tour Map #18
Perched high above the Grand River, the Windsor Mills Covered Bridge—also known as the Wiswell Bridge or Warner Hollow Bridge—has been a piece of Ohio’s history since 1874. This 114-foot Town lattice bridge has stood the test of time, with several renovations ensuring its continued strength and charm. Steel bracing was added in 1945, and in 1981, the floor was rebuilt with glue-laminated wood girders for extra reinforcement. After floodwaters washed out the road at the east end in 1987, a new concrete abutment was constructed to provide additional support. Whether you're a covered bridge enthusiast, a history buff, or simply enjoying a scenic drive, this beautifully preserved bridge is a must-visit stop along Ashtabula County’s covered bridge trail.
