October 9-10, 2027

We’re so glad you’re here to explore and learn about our beautiful and historic covered bridges! Our county is home to 19 unique bridges, showcasing five different architectural styles: Howe truss, Pratt truss, Town lattice truss, Burr Arch, and Inverted Haupt truss.

Each bridge can be enjoyed through a scenic driving tour that takes you through the heart of our charming rural communities. At the center of this celebration is the Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival, held every year on the second weekend of October. The festival’s mission is to promote our county, support the preservation and maintenance of our historic bridges, and educate the public about their rich history—all in a fun, family-friendly setting.

Come visit the shortest and the longest covered bridges in the entire United States—both right here in Ashtabula County!
