This year’s Covered Bridge Festival will be happening right at the bridges themselves—no central festival site. That means you can experience the fun where it all began! Most of the favorite activities will be at Harpersfield and Smolen Bridges, where there’s plenty of parking. You’ll find exciting food and activity opportunities at each bridge, with vendors and/or organizations ready to welcome you.
Thanks to the Ashtabula Township Park Commission, Riverview Bridge will also be a hub of activity. Crafters will line the walking trail down to the bridge, along with the always-popular displays and activities at the top parking lot.
Both Harpersfield and Smolen Bridges will come alive with strolling entertainment throughout the day.
We’re excited to be working with Metroparks and the Friends of the Harpersfield Bridge to bring you even more at the newly renovated bridge. Families can enjoy kids’ activities, help color a giant mural, hear speakers share fascinating history of the bridges and area, and shop for souvenirs at both locations.
Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to celebrate our historic bridges in a brand-new way!
